Strong Heart Study (SHS) Summer Teen Program for Oklahoma high school juniors and seniors in the SHS communities

Strong Heart Study is offering a summer program for juniors and seniors in high school (16 to 18 years old) from the tribal communities that participate in the study. The day (June 24,2026) will include a tour of the Lawton Field Center, and the University of Oklahoma Health Campus in OKC, meetings with staff, faculty, and  students to learn about careers in public health and biomedical fields, and a trip to the First Americans Museum. Lunch and other refreshments will be provided. Transportation will be provided from the Lawton Field Center (814 SW C Ave, Lawton, OK 73501) to Oklahoma City and return.

Applicants will be eligible to participate in an optional art contest to design the Strong Heart Study Summer Teen Program logo. The winner of the art contest will receive an iPad.
